The Pain is
Totally Gone
and I Feel
100% Better!

My issues all started at home, I had tripped over a footstool and seriously tweaked my low back. Luckily, I had recently been reading up on decompression therapy and decided to look in to it further. Dr. Shelley examined me and found that I was a candidate for decompression therapy. After the first session I felt great and from then on I just kept progressing with each treatment. The pain is totally gone and I feel 100% better, the results are amazing. Overall I had a wonderful experience and the staff at Olympic Spine & Sports Therapy is very friendly and efficient.

Dr. Jeffrey Word
Chiropractor
Dr. Jeffrey Word is a Northwest native, growing up in Sequim, WA. He began his pre-medical studies at Western Washington University at which time he had severe bouts of neck pain and spasm. When only given pain medication and muscle relaxants to deal with the symptoms, he decided to look for the cause of the problem and began seeing a chiropractor. He was so impressed with the results that he switched his focus to becoming a chiropractor. Dr. Word is constantly looking to gain knowledge and graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Ecology in 2006 while maintaining the requirements for chiropractic school. His focus on biology and the impact organisms have on their surroundings enabled him to look into health in a broad spectrum before focusing down on the specific.
Dr. Word has always been interested in maintaining a healthy body and lifestyle and the approach he found with chiropractic embodied these fundamental ideals. As a conference high jump champion in college, Dr. Word understands how greatly body mechanics can affect performance. Whether trying to compete or to simply go through daily activities without pain, the core focus needs to be the establishment of proper movement throughout the body.
Dr. Word graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. While attending school, Dr. Word spent 8 months interning at one of the most respected chiropractic clinics in the country. He was involved in all aspects of patient care, treating a variety of patients ranging from elite professional athletes to the entire family. In addition to a variety of chiropractic techniques, Dr. Word is also certified in Graston Technique, a treatment for chronic myofascial pain. He is excited to be back in the great northwest, with one of the most active populations in the country. Dr. Word strives to give his patients the best chiropractic care available to help them achieve their health goals while retaining all the knowledge needed to stay healthy and active.
In his free time, Dr. Word is likely spending time with family, hiking with his dog London, climbing, kayaking, diving, playing basketball and just about any athletic activity he finds. World travel has been a large part of his life and he loves experiencing new countries and customs. Setting a goal to see 25 countries before age 25, Dr. Word was able to shape a large part of his health perspective on what he has seen and experienced. Because health is so important, most of his free time involves maintaining that active lifestyle. Dr. Word is focused on continuing education in fields such as nutrition, neurology, and a variety of chiropractic techniques in order to give patients the most up to date care and further increase their knowledge in the fascinating field of chiropractic.
