I had a herniated disc, shoulder, arm, and neck pain. The disc pain was so acute that my leg would spasm and throw me to the ground. I couldn’t walk with confidence. My shoulders would take turns giving me extreme pain that would radiate down my arm and numb my thumb and index finger.
I tried acupuncture and an orthopedist, neither of which helped. I was taking pain medications and I had tried a cortisone shot in my right shoulder which was horribly painful and totally ineffectual. I was referred to Olympic Spine and Sports Therapy and started to feel better after the first treatment.
Now I have more mobility without subsequent pain and my balance is better than it has been in years. My back and arms feel so much better. I’m back to participating in the arthritis pool class at my gym and I can even garden a bit more.
