Risk Free Evaluation
To find out if you are a candidate for treatment call us today and ask for your free evaluation. The Neuropathy Treatment screening evaluation includes testing to determine if you have:
- Compressed or inflamed nerves
- Altered light touch sensation
- Impaired temperature sensation
- Impaired balance
- Altered vibration sensation
- Altered pain sensation
- Impaired 2 point discrimination
Clinically Proven Results
According to a study performed by the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Phoenix, Philadelphia and Chicago patients suffering with cancer induced peripheral neuropathy reported a 96% success rate with treatment using the rebuilder system.

Dr. Shelley explains more about Peripheral Neuropathy:
Our Neuropathy ReBuilder System is uniquely effective because of the use of new technology and comprehensive evaluation and treatment. Peripheral Neuropathy has a multitude of causes ranging from diabetes to chemotherapy treatment. To have lasting results not only do you need effective treatment for the symptoms, but you also need to identify the underlying cause of the symptoms. Patients that are candidates for treatment are evaluated for these common causes of Peripheral Neuropathy where indicated:
Common causes of Peripheral Neuropathy:
- Diabetes Type 1 or Type 2
- Statin Drugs
- Nerve Entrapment Syndromes
- Nerve Compression due to Disc Protrusion or Stenosis
- Chemotherapy Treatment
- Vascular Compromise
- Metabolic Syndromes such as Thyroid Imbalances
- Nutritional Deficiencies like low B12, folic acid, or minerals
- Heredity/Genetic Abnormalities
- Auto-immunity due to food sensitivities
- Anemia
- Impaired Gut or Liver or Kidney function
Of course to determine if any of these conditions are the underlying cause of Peripheral Neuropathy specific lab tests should be ordered. Examples include:
- CBC (complete blood counts)
- CMP (comprehensive metabolic panel)
- Homocystine (an inflammatory marker)
- Lipid panel
- Complete Thyroid panel including TSH, T4, T3, T3 uptake, TBG, Free T3, Free T4, Reveres T3, TGB antibody and TPO antibody.
- Iron panel including Ferritin
- Hemoglobin A1-C
- Vitamin D 125-OH
- Adrenal -24 HR Cortisol profile
- GI permeability
- H pylori infection (for impaired protein digestion)
- Food sensitivity/cross reactivity (Gluten, Dairy, Soy, Tapioca, Coffee etc.)
- Specialized, genetic testing for hereditary conditions like PMP-22 gene deletion.
Again, tests are ordered based on the individuals needs and allow us to get a complete picture of what is happening metabolically (body chemistry) with a patient.
One of the fundamental reasons that the Seattle Neuropathy ReBuilder System is so effective is our comprehensive evaluation of the underlying causes of your pain. Both the physical and the chemical.
Once we have identified the structural, metabolic and functional imbalances we can start treatments to optimize your body’s ability to heal. Stated simply our nerves need fuel and activation to repair. To improve fuel and activation we use treatments like these:
- The ReBuilder tm uses a pain free micro electric current to stimulate nerve impulses. The signal is pulsed on and off at 7.83 cycles per second and stimulates nerves that control sensation and muscle function. David Phillips Ph.D. who developed the ReBuilder also invented the infrared ear thermometer.
- Class 4 (use Roman numeral for #4) laser using near infrared (820 NM wave length) light to improve circulation and cell metabolism as well as reduce pain. Class 4(Roman numeral) laser light is absorbed by the mitochondria of our cells and energizes them to produce more ATP, (cellular fuel) this in turn accelerates healing.
- Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression a sophisticated computer controlled machine that gently stretches the spine creating a vacuum (negative pressure) inside the disc reducing compression on nerves. This is particularly effective for Peripheral Neuropathy involving disc herniation, disc degeneration, arthritis or stenosis.
- Exercise with Oxygen Therapy is using supplemented oxygen (from an oxygen concentrator) while performing exercise. Increasing oxygen saturation levels in our blood and increasing blood circulation to the extremities can directly benefit Peripheral Neuropathy as well as improve mental clarity and reduce stress.
- Functional Neurology also known as brain balance therapy is used to balance the activity of the central nervous system. Of particular importance for the Peripheral Neuropathy patient is increasing activity of an under active parietal lobe in the cerebral cortex. The parietal lobe is where we feel sensations. If the nerve cells of a region of the parietal lobe are underactive we can perceive normal sensations as pain, numbness, tingling, etc. Functional Neurology works to increase underactive areas of our nervous system using non-drug non-surgical methods like; Eye exercises, Auditory stimulation, Adjustments, Light stimulation, and Interactive Metronome tm.
Peripheral Neuropathy is a frustrating, life impairing condition that seldom responds well to drug therapy. Fortunately with the recent advances in neurologic and metabolic diagnosis and new treatment technologies we can help most pain sufferers get relief from their symptoms and regain much of their quality of life.

Scott's story
On my job I'm back in the swing of things!

I had lower back pain combined with numbness and loss of strength in my right leg. At its worst, the pain would make me sick to my stomach and the cramps rated at 12 on a 0 to 10 scale. I experienced severe cramps and increased numbness for two weeks and finally had to go to the emergency room. My GP wasn't able to help me much, my neurologist did give me some good information. My friends Kim and Tim sent me to see Dr. Shelley. Since starting treatment overall my condition has improved greatly! For the last few weeks my back pain is been a 0 out of 10 and my leg symptoms have been 0.5 out of 10. I've been able to do many of the outdoor activities that I did before. I'm living life again! On my job I'm back in the swing of things. And being back with other people at work has been a good reward for getting healthier. At my lowest point, the staff at Olympic Spine really helped. I especially appreciate the positive atmosphere, enthusiastic education and honesty. — Scott H.
Jeanne's story
I can walk without discomfort
and I even went dancing!

When I started I had numbness in my big toes and tingling in my legs on both sides. It bothered me most when I walked, it was really irritating! A friend, John recommended I come to Olympic Spine and Sport Therapy. Right from the beginning it just started to gradually feel better. The numbness and tingling is a lot less intense now. There is no numbness in my big toes. I can walk without discomfort now and I even went dancing! The staff are helpful and caring. I even brought them goodies at Christmas! — Jeanne B.
